Honeycutt was a ward of the state due to having Schizophrenia. Her family went to visit her at her last known location, East Mississippi, in Meridian, Mississippi and discovered she was not there any longer. The family was able to track her to her last known medical facility which was a nursing home in Laurel, Mississippi. Due to HIPAA laws, the facility was unable to provide information regarding her whereabouts. However, they were told that she was no longer a ward of the state and that she was not deceased.

A missing person report was filed with Meridian Police Department.
