case details:
Allen was last seen on May 10th, 1992, which was Mother’s day, in Woodville, Mississippi. At the time, Allen was being cared for by a couple as his father was in the military and his mother was in college out of state. That day, Allen and his guardians, Glenn Edwards and Leola Jackson, attended church service at Jerusalem Baptist Church in Edgard, Louisiana. After the service, they had plans to travel to Woodville to attend another Mother’s day church program and a gathering afterwards. The couple invited Edwards’ nephew, his girlfriend, and her daughters to travel to Woodville and attend the festivities with them.
After the church program, the two couples and the children went to a gathering near where Leola’s family lived. Her father owned a grocery store called the Jimmy Jackson Grocery Store. Behind the store was a home. That home and several other homes along the narrow road were cooking and had games, much like a block party. The children were playing between homes while most of the adults sat in the front yard of one of the homes cooking, eating, and talking.
At some point, Glenn and Leola realized they could not locate Allen. They returned to a home with most of the adults out front and told them that Allen was missing. It was soon discovered that Kreneice Jones, who had traveled to Woodville with them, was also missing. The adults began going door to door searching for Allen and Jones but were unsuccessful, so they called law enforcement to report the children missing.
Law enforcement performed an extensive search of the area with scent-tracking dogs. No sign of the children was found. Both children, who would now be adults, remain missing at this time. Allen’s case is unsolved.
