Ellington was last heard from when she texted friends stating that she was going to meet someone in Louisville, Mississippi. It is unclear whether or not Ellington is the one who sent these texts. The person she was supposed to be meeting according to that text sent to friends stated the two of them had not made plans to meet up that day. After not hearing from Ellington, her friends became worried and began looking for her. Her friends located her Chevrolet Suburban in the Wal-Mart parking lot in Louisville, Mississippi. Ellington was not with her vehicle and did not return to it.
Authorities reviewed surveillance video taken from the Wal-Mart parking lot. In the video, Ellington’s Suburban is seen parking in the parking lot, an individual exits the vehicle and begins walking towards a McDonald’s and Taco Bell before walking out of the camera’s range. Nobody returned to the vehicle.
Ellington was the guardian of and was raising her 8-year-old grandson. She also owned a gym in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Ellington has not been seen or heard from since. her case remains unsolved at this time.
