case details:
Cupido was last seen by family on the morning of October 21st, 2004, when she dropped her daughter off at Tishomingo County High School in Iuka, Mississippi. When school let out for the day, Cupido did not return to pick up her daughter when classes let out which was uncharacteristic. Her family became alarmed and quickly reported her missing. Two days later, law enforcement located Cupido’s vehicle behind the Apostolic church on Highway 72, which is just over 5 miles from the high school she dropped her daughter off at that morning. Investigators say that it appears whoever parked the vehicle there pulled in, got out, locked the vehicle up, and walked off. There was no evidence of a crime inside the vehicle.
Through their investigation, investigators found that Cupido was also seen at The Wooden Nickel Restaurant in Cherokee, Alabama with a male. The Wooden Nickel Restaurant and where Cupido’s vehicle was found abandoned are only 12 miles apart. Two months after her disappearance, fishermen found pieces of Cupido’s wallet in Bear Creek.
Cupido was involved in an extramarrital affair at the time of her disappearance. The male she was involved with and Cupido’s husband were both given polygraph tests and passed. The male Cupido was seen with at The Wooden Nickel Restaurant was given a polygraph which he did not pass. He has since retained a lawyer and has not provided any further information.
Cupido remains missing at this time. Her case is unsolved.
